H.E.A.L. Adaptive Basketball
In Partnership with the Sacramento Royals (NWBA Registered)
Ages (13-Up)

Picture
These programs have been evolving since 2012. They will undergo its second season hosting varsity practices (8-18 years old) and its third season in Division 2 in the National Wheelchair Basketball Association. It is always a privilege to be able to compete in the NWBA. This has its rewards for our players that move up from the developmental program and get beneficial gameplay against the Northern California Recreational League (BORP, Shasta, Santa Rosa, Reno, San Jose, and of course, Fresno!). These athletes go through so much training and to be able to travel nationally to compete against other players with similar disabilities is a unique experience in itself. The long-term goal is to be able to support a unique plan to have a healthy program for the disabled community!

- Each player is given a classification (1.0-4.5) and only 15 points are allowed on the court at a time.
- This creates a level playing field for every team and emphasizes lower and higher classes of every kind of ability.
- You get to meet many different NWBA athletes with the same classifications
- The level of commitment is much higher in order to be a successful athlete and achieve team/personal goals.
- Last and most importantly, balancing a busy training regimen, health, family, hobbies, and life!
